EXPLORE CHRISTCHURCH

Thanks for the info much appreciated

When our Australian borders open up to travel to New Zealand I will definitely be hiring my rental car with RaD Car Hire Napier the staff do a great job customer service and support second to none.

Regards - Happy client, Queensland Australia.

RaD Auckland Airport was absolutely fantastic to rent a car from. They were friendly, honest, factual and helpful at every turn. Your team even allowed us to change vehicle at no extra charge, as well as help us understand the confusing toll system of New Zealand. We warmly recommend them to anyone.

We finally made it home last night after a couple of long days! Thanks again for the car - it was a pleasure to do business with you and I'll happily refer my friends and family to you. All the very best for a successful winter.

Explore Christchurch and Beyond

Christchurch is the gateway to exploring the Canterbury Region as well as a great place to start your travels around the South Island with a large and modern Domestic and International Airport and RaD Car Hire located close by.

Christchurch was rattled by earthquakes in 2010 & 2011 resulting in significant damage across the city and the loss of some of its most iconic historic buildings. Since then NZ’s Garden City has rallied to rebuild to be better than before and now is more modern, greener and more creative. Impressive art can be found splashed over high building walls, clever uses have been found for still vacant lots and the city has now been regenerated with vibrant cafes, restaurants and bars.

With so many things in offer on Christchurch’s doorstep a RaD rental car is one of the best ways to see and do whatever takes your fancy.

The quaint French seaside village of Akaroa is only a short drive away or head towards the Southern Alps to see our highest mountain, Aoraki with the spectacular alpine scenery of Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki just a little further afield. Hanmer Springs is a wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate with gorgeous thermal pools in which to soak and is just two hours’ drive from Christchurch.
