• Minimum Age – You must be at least 21 years old to hire a car with RaD Tauranga. An insurance excess does apply subject to age, vehicle and licence type.

• Domestic Licence Information - All hirers must have a driver's licence to drive a motor vehicle. Drivers on restricted licences – please check with the branch concerned as acceptance of and T&Cs for restricted licence holders varies by branch and some locations do require you to have a full licence.

• International Licence Information - International licences are accepted, as well as all English written licences. If your licence is not in English you will be required to have it translated into English before we can hire a vehicle to you. Note that a NSW or Queensland digital driver's licence can NOT be used to hire a car in New Zealand, you must bring your plastic licence with you.

• Additional Drivers – you can add any number of additional drivers to your booking. Simply pop into any RaD branch nationwide and show us the additional driver’s licence to add that person to the booking.

• Baby and Booster Seats - all branches carry baby seats and booster seats and vehicles are fitted with anchor points. Pricing is all available online so please add any item to your booking or ask when booking via phone.

RaD Car Hire’s branches nationwide are franchised and, as such, individual owner-operators set the appropriate insurance liability, excess reduction rates, bonds, credit card security and conditions for younger drivers or licence categories.

• Refer to your quote, confirmation email and/or rental agreement for the specific insurance excess liabilities, excess reduction rates, as well as any conditions that may apply to drivers on a restricted licence.

• Please note: We do not hire to drivers under the age of 21. Not all branches accept restricted licences, so please check with the branch before placing a reservation.
